I have been sharing my debt free journey on my Instagram and TikTok for months! I posted a blog post in April 2024 that I was refocusing on debt free after 2020-2023 being so rocky.
But ultimately, I am sick of paying for the past and I am ready to pay for the future. I want to start funding the goals and things that I enjoy and focus less on this debt number and all of the things in the past.
I love sharing my journey because it gives me motivation and encouragement. The community and people I have built around me is one of my most favorite things in my life and I truly think I would have given up and said “why bother” without you guys.
So last week I put out this wild, crazy ambitious statement that I had only said to my closest circle.
“If I make $5,275 before the end of June, I could be debt free.”
While it is bold, I have had a few $8k and $10k months in my business, so it isn’t THAT wild.
But with that came questions of “How can we help support this”
After I posted that, other money sources came in. I am currently at $4,700 in income away from debt free.
NOW- I want to set some boundaries on this and if you listen, great. And if you don’t — well at least I tried.
So here are a few little boundaries of mine.
1) I ONLY want you to support if you have the budget for this. I know plenty of people include giving or miscellaneous in their budget, but I know budgets are tight. So please, don’t break your budget for me.
2) I ONLY want you to buy what you would buy anyway. Please, do not buy extra things just for support. When it comes to my products and services, I want people to buy if they are actually going to use them and benefit from them.
3) If you do decide, please know how wildly grateful I am. How overwhelmed with emotion I am even putting this post together because I have been surrounded by some of the most wonderful people. I have learned so many things about culture and life and other people’s experiences by just sharing my own life on Instagram. I have had support through hard days and cheerleaders through the wins. And there is truly not enough kind words for all of the amazing relationships I have built with people because of sharing my journey. And also I will not stop sharing when I am debt free. I will continue to build and grow to help other people do the same.
All of that aside, here are the ways that I make money:
One of my friends and I joke– there isn’t a hobby I haven’t monetized. (I am an enneagram 3 after all). So I do have a few different umbrellas of money.
